Moustache Hair Transplant
As the lyrics from an American folk song called Moustache say:
You may not have the looks, you may not have the cash.
You can make that girl your own, only if you have big moustache.
The song is might be over-exaggerated. Still, moustache is an important part of a person’s appearance since the ancient times. They’re considered to be the pride of a person and symbolize masculinity and wisdom.
However, what if you don’t have a thick moustache but just a little bush on your face? What will you do? Accept your fate and keep cursing your genes?
No, you would visit a hospital and undergo mustache hair transplant. Many hospitals provide that. We, at Cosmo Hair, Chandigarh also offer moustache hair transplant in Chandigarh at affordable price.
When do you need a moustache hair transplant?
Generally, moustache hairs grow with age. So, if you have just turned 16 and feeling sad just because you don’t have a thick moustache like your dad, you’ll have to wait for some time my dear.
Apart from this, if you’re a grown adult but your moustache hasn’t grown properly or a scarring has occurred on your face due to some trauma/genetic defects – moustache hair transplant will be a perfect option for you.
Moustache hair transplant procedure
The procedure starts with the surgeon giving you the local anesthesia. Once, the anesthesia shows its impact, he/she will proceed towards extracting hairs from the donor site (which might depend according to your hair amount).
Then the extracted hair roots will be transplanted to the mustache area with the help of 7mm punches and you’re done.
What happens after the treatment?
There will be swelling at the transplanted site for at least 2-3 days. After this, transplanted hairs will fall off but the roots will be still left inside.
After about 1 month, you’ll start noticing natural hairs on your moustache.
Moustache hair transplant aftercare
As we mentioned, there will swelling for at least 2-3 days after the treatment. Apart from this, here are a few things that you’ll have to keep in mind:
- Keep your head in the elevated position. This will make sure there’s less swelling on your face.
- Avoid stressful activities for a couple of days as it can cause damage to hair grafts and the whole procedure might be a failure.
- Avoid going in sunlight for at least two weeks after the surgery because sunlight can weaken the hair follicles.
- Avoid shaving or applying water on the transplant area for some days.
- Have full result and proper diet. This will help you recover faster and achieve better results.
In case of any allergy or some other kind of medical emergency, contact your surgeon immediately. Some issues might need an immediate attention.
