Flushing, spider veins, thread veins and all forms of facial redness can now be successfully treated with the Palomar Intense Pulsed Light technology.
The Palomar Max G IPL system emits short bursts of high intensity pulsed light that contains selected wavelengths that heat up and remove unwanted red veins and vessels just under the skin surface. You can expect a clear skin in the end of the treatment as the blood vessels are cleared making you look less red. Today, in the world of dermatology the Palomar device is considered to provide the effective treatment for the blood vessels on your face.
Intense Pulse Light Therapy (IPL) uses a spectrum of light shined onto the skin to treat a variety of skin and vein issues. IPL delivers a concentrated pulse of light which heats and damages blood vessel walls, shrinking the targeted veins and making them disappear. The IPL only focuses on a particular area which needs to be treated, which is then consumed by the abnormally dilated vessels. Heat then impairs the targeted vessels or lesions and the body begins a natural healing process. Treatments can take place as frequently as every three weeks. Some patients see significant improvements with two or three treatments while others might require more. We recommend a series of five to six treatments for optimal results. In most cases, it is recommended to have follow-up treatments at least once a year to maintain the results of the procedure.
